Robert William Shattuck was brought into this world on February 6th, 1988 in Nashua, New Hampshire. He is the middle child of 5, with two older sisters and two younger brothers. His father, William, was a electrical engineer and his mother Janice was a stay at home mom who taught Robert most of his schooling beyond early elementary school. When he was six months old Robert’s family moved to Huntsville, Alabama where they would remain for the next eight years. At the age of 6 Robert began to become very active in school and church plays and took up some piano lessons as well. He developed a very fond passion of performing on stage as well as playing sports. At age 8 Robert’s father was transferred to Cape Canaveral Florida to work at Kennedy Space Center. Within a year Robert was getting involved in local performing groups and continued to strengthen his love for the stage and theater. At the same time he began to take up various martial arts as well as play football in the local youth league. Robert also began to become very interested in poetry and began to write poems on a regular basis not knowing that some of these poems would one day become songs he would perform at some of his first shows.

Upon entering high school Robert decided to quit theater and acting and decided to focus more on football and took up boxing as well. When Robert was 15 his dad bought him his first guitar and he began to teach himself guitar by learning songs by Green Day and The Beatles. At 17 Robert attended his first local punk show and decided he wanted to start up a band so he began to write songs of his own and started a band with a couple of his friends called BMF. The band lasted about a year in which the band never made it out of the garage. The day BMF broke up Robert got an invite to join some of his other friends who were in a more established band called Fintan’s Tree. It was in this band where he learned a lot about playing gigs and how the local scene worked, but after a year the members of Fintan’s Tree decided they wanted to split up to pursue other interests. Robert was taking Robert and a couple of the old Fintan’s Tree members formed a band called Sequel 88 which only lasted for a couple months, but during that time Robert wrote his best work up to that point.

new shit

so we're pretty much done with the writing part of the new album. i'm really excited about this album 'cause it's pretty much a reflection of all the shit that has gone on in my life and the band's life over the past year. i've record 14 acoustic songs and that is what we will build on. i'm very excited and i can't wait for all of you wonderful fans to hear it. later...

My Name Is...

Robert William Shattuck... WHAT'S YOURS?!??!?!?!?

After the split, Robert attended a local college to get back into acting as well as took a lot of art. During the semester he started his next band Girls Night Out which would later become A Turnaround Life. Robert never went back to school and cut out all other activities in his life so he could put all his focus towards the band. He even sold his brand new Mustang and bought a wagon so he could haul around his equipment to practice and shows. He loves playing in A Turnaround Life with all his heart and plans to keep contributing to the band for the rest of his life. He is currently still living in Rockledge, Florida.
